2022 Breeding: bred to Legacy for April kids
Every once in a while you get a doeling that just comes out of nowhere and blows you away. This was Mariah 100%. She is out of Cher, one of our favorite does who sadly passed away too early in 2017. As a kid, Mariah was not extraordinary, but once she reached about a year old, she just blossomed. She was suddenly one of the biggest doelings on the place and stood out. At the ISDGA Spring Show, she did well, placing second in her age class in all four rings. We felt like she didn't reach her potential at that show and decided to take her to the UDGA show 2 weeks later. There, she was Grand Champion Jr. Alpine in Ring 1 and earned her dry leg! From there on out, she was unbeatable at the shows we took her to. At the Union County Fair in August she was Grand Champion Jr. Alpine and Best Jr. Doe in Show in ring 1 and at the Western Idaho Fair she was Grand Champion Jr. Alpine again in ring 1. We are looking forward to seeing her as a senior doe and hope that her udder is comparable with her beautiful body. We decided to take Mariah to the ADGA National Show in Oregon and were absolutely thrilled with how she did. She made the cut and placed 20th competing with some of the most beautiful Alpines in the country. We are so excited to see how she continues to grow and show as she gains more lactations.
