DS: Hoach's Lyric Luke
Dam: Waiilatpu HLL Ginny
DD: Waiilatpu Newbold's Golden Eye
DOB: 03/31/2003
Registration ID: AA1285816
2010 Appraisal- FS87 (+EE) @ 07-05
Progeny- Blondie, Avalon, Bubbles, Legacy, Cali
Gavin was purchased from Susan and Kathy sight unseen. His sire Tsavo has anchored their breeding program with many, many beautiful champion daughters and granddaughters. We have been very pleased with what he has done for our herd. ALL of his kids have been level and long. ALL of his daughters and granddaughters have much improved udder attachments and shape. All the judges we have shown under have comments about our udders and dairy character.
Gavin passed over the rainbow bridge in the early evening of December 2, 2012. He was a wonderful, even tempered buck. Never caused a problem with the fences and lived the majority of his life with his girls. I have kept all of his daughters over the past couple of years, but I regret that I sold many more than I have kept. I do have semen in the tank. He will be kept on the property overlooking the pasture so that he can keep a forever eye on his herd, under a nice shade tree. It is true that a great herd sire is the base to every good herd of goats. Gavin can be traced back to almost every one of our goats, Alpine type, that have been born on the place. If you look at appraisal scores, you will see that his daughters, granddaughters, and great granddaughters only get better with age and maturity.
Semen available- 5 straws for $100.00
