CH Waiilatpu WRT Gavin 03/31/03 American Alpine
"Gavin" was purchased from Susan and Kathy sight unseen. His sire "Tsavo" has anchored their breeding program with many, many beautiful champion daughters and granddaughters. We have been very pleased with what he has done for our herd. ALL of his kids have been level and long. ALL of his daughters and granddaughters have much improved udder attachments and shape. All the judges that we have shown under have comments about our udders and dairy character.

Gavin passed over the rainbow bridge in the early evening of December 2, 2012. He was a wonderful, even tempered buck. Never caused a problem with the fences and lived the majority of his life with his "girls". I have kept all of his daughter over the past couple of years but I regret that I sold many more than I have kept. I do have semen in the tank. He will be kept on the property, overlooking the pasture so that he can keep a forever eye on his herd, under a nice shade tree.
Semen Available-5 straws for $100.00

NUBIAN
Fir Acres Chizum (permanent GCH)
http://adgagenetics.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N000529062 son of AV Kariff and Grandson of AV Horizon. You are going to see a lot of Horizon in these pedigrees. (According to Opal and Gary he was a very good buck and the more you used him the better it got.)
I have been told Chizum was big and black with white spots and a very sweet and calm and tolerant disposition. There was the story of Gary’s preschool age daughters washing him down with a cold garden hose, crawling all around, under his belly and he just stood there. Opal said he had the mildest temperament of any buck she ever saw.
Apple Valley Horizon
http://adgagenetics.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N000310301
More info:Horizon was light brown and spotted. He does tend to throw them. The spots are less defined in the kids, so Opal says do not be in a hurry to register them because those tan spots lighten considerably later and if you register too early your colors will probably be wrong. I have heard this sort of marking called “magic spots”.
Gary White:” Most all of Horizon daughters had really nice udders, especially the rear udder attachment, and if they were the same color as Horizon you could pretty well bet that she would be great in the udder dept. My whole breeding program was to take Horizon daughters and breed them back to as much Pippen blood as possible and it really worked. Chizum is a good example of that and also his son (Shadow) and they were unstoppable in the show ring. Both Chizum and Shadow are permanent ch. “
Gowdyvilles Hai Gai
http://adgagenetics.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N000300625 Opal had a recent milking daughter out of Hai Gai. Strong milker, persistent milker.
13.12% inbred top contributor, Conquest.
Fir Acres Chipper
http://adgagenetics.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N000661022 Apple Valley Pippin on both sides of the pedigree. 6.88% inbred
Apple Valley Kariff ( 26)
http://adgagenetics.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N000438737 .
Shadow http://adgagenetics.org/GoatDetail.aspx?RegNumber=N001579091 is just plain strong, and very well built. Good bone for those who are concerned that they are getting into fragility issues. I sold him and he made some gorgeous strong growthy kids in that herd. At the Nat Con (October 2012) in Boise the doe kid was used as a demo. The instructor said TWICE, this is probably an April kid…” No she was born in June.”
Rita is very nice too, feminine, long in the rump. This year will be her first freshening.
Opal said Kariff is good for extended lactations. I like what I have seen in body so far and I would use this semen again, and again.

Tan ears with dark ovals, tan facial stripes, Opal Humbyrd told me that he was big and black and had wonderful breed character.
