"Gavin" was purchased from Susan and Kathy sight unseen. His sire "Tsavo" has anchored their breeding program with many, many beautiful champion daughters and granddaughters. We have been very pleased with what he has done for our herd. ALL of his kids have been level and long. ALL of his daughters and granddaughters have much improved udder attachments and shape. All the judges that we have shown under have comments about our udders and dairy character.

Gavin passed over the rainbow bridge in the early evening of December 2, 2012. He was a wonderful, even tempered buck. Never caused a problem with the fences and lived the majority of his life with his "girls". I have kept all of his daughter over the past couple of years but I regret that I sold many more than I have kept. I do have semen in the tank. He will be kept on the property, overlooking the pasture so that he can keep a forever eye on his herd, under a nice shade tree.

It is true that a great herd sire is the base to every good herd of goats. Gavin can be traced back to everyone of our goats, alpine type, that have been born on the place, I think that only Allure and her daughter Faith are not related. If you look at the appraisal scores, you will see that his daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters only get better with age and maturity.
