Legacy is exactly what his name says. We decided that we wanted to bring our original herdsire, Gavin, back into our herd, while also experimenting with line breeding, as many have positive results. We decided to breed Avalon, one of our remaining few Gavin daughters, and AI her back to Gavin. The result was Legacy and his sister Cali. We were unsure of how Legacy was going to turn out, but as he got older, he got nicer. We now have two seasons worth of kids out of Legacy and he has thrown some beautiful babies. Several of his sons have gone on to pack homes and 3 of his 2020 daughters have earned their dry legs this spring and his 2021 doelings are looking to live up to their older sisters.
